Hannah Moser zeigt Ausz\u00fcge aus den Ausstellungen und Arbeiten, die im Rahmen ihrer Diplomarbeit an der Kunsthochschule Mainz entstanden sind. Die Ausstellung wird um zahlreiche Diskussionen zum „Neuen Sehen“ und zur k\u00fcnstlerischen Fotografie erg\u00e4nzt.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Die Vernissage<\/strong>\u00a0ist am\u00a0 4. August 2018. <\/strong>Sie beginnt\u00a0um 16:00 Uhr; offen ist ab 15:00. Am 21. Oktober 2018<\/strong>\u00a0gibt es um 16:00 ein K\u00fcnstlergespr\u00e4ch<\/strong> mit Hannah Moser. Am 25. November 2018<\/strong> findet um 16:00 die Finissage statt.<\/i>Observation Deck zeigt Arbeiten, bei denen Hannah Moser den entscheidenden Platz,<\/em>\u00a0die entscheidende Perspektive<\/em> und den entscheidenden Ausschnitt<\/em> gefunden hat, um auf dem Monitor des Observation Deck ihre fotografischen Vermerke, Beobachtungen und \u00c4u\u00dferungen zu t\u00e4tigen.\u00a0 Zwei Serien waren Gegenstand der Diplomausstellung:\u00a0 DE|CONSTRUCTION und MIXED SIGNALS AND LITTLE MIRACLES . In der Giftbox kommt eine weitere dazu, die darlegt, wie Hannah Moser die Regel The Power of Three <\/em>von Arno Raphael Minkkinen\u00a0von der Ebene der Fotografien auf die Ebene der Fotoserien hebt.<\/p>\n

DE|CONSTRUCTION<\/h4>\n

Drei der vier Fotografien zu\u00a0DE|CONSTRUCTION wurden an der Feudenheimer Schleuse und dem Neckarkanal aufgenommen. Die Arbeit zerlegt Ansichten in Fotografien und konstruiert daraus etwas Neues. Der reale Ort der Aufnahme ist dabei so unerheblich wie die Gegenst\u00e4nde, die fotografiert wurden; nur der Platz von dem aus fotografiert wurde ist entscheidend.<\/p>\n

MIXED SIGNALS AND LITTLE MIRACLES<\/h4>\n

Auch f\u00fcr MIXED SIGNALS AND LITTLE MIRACLES ist der reale Ort der Aufnahme\u00a0(Rheingallerie in Ludwigshafen oder Q6Q7 in Mannheim ) ist dabei so unerheblich wie die Gegenst\u00e4nde, die fotografiert wurden; nur der Platz von dem aus fotografiert wurde ist entscheidend. Eine Auswahl an Fotografien der Serie\u00a0MIXED SIGNALS AND LITTLE MIRACLES war im Rahmen der Ray Masterclass 2018 im Museum f\u00fcr Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt im MMK3\u00a0 ausgestellt.\u00a0Arno Raphael Minkkinen, der die Ray Masterclass 2018 leitete schrieb zum Anlass der Ausstellung \u00fcber Hannahs Arbeit „Mixed Signals and Little Miracles“:<\/p>\n

„Contemporary photography could use a mid-19th-century renaissance, assuming today\u2019s practitioners could even stomach such an idea. Lessons learned from some of the best of the early pioneers\u2014such as Baldus and Atget\u2014quickly fall into the \u201cbeen there, done that\u201d category, assuming again, that such A and B names are even known. Consider, for example,\u00a0Edouard Baldus\u2019s famous Pont du Gard, an 1861 albumen print showing the verso side of today\u2019s five-euro note with the still standing Roman aqueduct as seen from a nearby hillside. Compare that to the place from where Baldus actually made his negative, half a kilometer upstream to include the structure\u2019s reflection. The five-euro image is worth about that. Baldus\u2019 take is a masterpiece.<\/p>\n

What lifts the work of Hannah Moser into the 21st century even as she works with the patina of a bygone black & white era is the courage she takes to buck contemporary trends, assured as she is, that the best way to revitalize a genre is to reinvent it. Up the complexity, as she decidedly does, make the shots and call it a day. Combing the riversides of the Neckar and capturing reflections off shopping mall windows and ceilings, she creates whirlpools of visual delight, a pinball vision of little miracles and mixed signals. Ever searching for the best possible view (motto of another 19th-century master, Carleton E. Watkins, famous for turning Yosemite into a National Park), Moser makes every square centimeter of the frame count. It\u2019s the discovery of the decisive place from where the action can start that adds a new dimension to street photography.“<\/p>\n
